tonight was really busy. got in 4 good fights tonight. but on certain nights that can be a fun thing;) Tonight was definitely bust, and I am so tired right now! one more shift then I come to winnipeg from Jan.28-Feb 8th.

but for now..to bed i go!

Ripped my first pair of work pants today taking down buddy who was being an ass. Had to bring him down on gravel and scraped up my knees and put a hole in my pants. Damn shitrats!

on another note I might be going to Grand Rapids and doing some relief work there for some of their guys. should be fun!

things going good. benchmark testing coming up this week. getting pepper sprayed next week. good times...im pretty pumped on it actually. lots of people coming to Depot these days. weve had tourists come watch our drill classes and theres always people coming and taking pictures of us all.

the queen is coming here near the end of may too. so there will be oooodles of tourists.

over 1/4 way done now. its going fast...but the busiest is yet to come!

well thats it for me. i gotta go run a couple miles and then take a statement from someone quick so i can go meet my parents in Moose Jaw.

what else can i say....chicks dig cadets.

quick update...all is well. things are pretty crazy. going from 5am-11pm or later even. im sick now..damn colds..half my troop has been sick. but its all good. we did scenarios where we had to respond to calls today...it was fun stuff. shooting first thing in the morning tomorrow then police defensive tactics class...that class is fun..i get to rough people up and cuff em.

i might be coming home either this weekend or next just for a quick visit. not for sure though..depending on how much work i have.

thats all for now. gotta do some ironing then hit the bed.

yoyoyo...good times so far here. off for the weekend of course. theres lots of tourists/family members/friends of people wandering around depot this weekend...its kinda cool. this summer is gonna be crazy with how many people will be watching us do sunset ceremonies and all sorts of things. we will be doing major contributions to the saskatchewan centennial so TONS of people will be watching me march, do parade, etc...

anyways...things are going well of course...i miss some people and all but im enjoying myself. shooting the 9mm and driving the cruisers is a plus :P. were gonna get bogged down with more work soon, bu tthis weekend is pretty much free for us. lots of working out...ive dropped 5lbs already...and i bought a boba fett pez dispenser at the Cornwall Centre today.

ohh and late night pranks on troopmates are fun.

hey all...im off of class and stuff for the weekend. this week was pretty cool..only 23 weeks left now! we got out uniforms, duty belts, handcuff, and batons this week. were doing more defensive tactics next week and ive been working out a ton.

the food here is great but makes you shit every hour...and so far my troop seems to be full of pretty cool people from all over canada. i love running out here too...i seem to be able to go forever. myself and a girl from my troop went running for a bout 5 miles in a snowstorm monday night. but it was one of those warm snowfalls where you just love being outside. so we ran way out to the firing range and all over Depot.

we start Drill on monday and basically things will just keep getting busier. this week wasnt to bad for being busy...just a bunch of reading about the history of the force...but yea...its gonna get super intense here. they always hold the threat of sending you home for any little infraction or mistake over your head though...kinda adds to the stress, but overall its gonna be great here i think (hope).

this experience is gonna be different than anything ive ever experienced...but i look forward to it and will try my very best to be successful.

anyways...i miss alot of people from home. i forgot to bring my address book..so if anyone wants a letter from me then email me your addresses. i can also recieve mail here too..so if you wanna know my addy just email me as well!!

ok..i gotta get going..our big brother troop is taking us all out tonight for a night on the town in big exciting REGINA!

i dont know why ive been thinking about this, but something that really bugs me are when people complain about police using too much force or having to shoot someone and then saying "why couldnt they just shoot them in the arm or the leg..."

this is the dumbest comment...if the police have their weapons out and are prepared to fire them then the "bad guy" must be threatening them in a way in which lethal force could be necessary.

you arent going to aim at a guys leg or arm with a handgun while he's rushing at you with a butcher knife and hope to stop him. youd have to be a damn good shot to do that...or very lucky. and sure maybe 50% of the time you could hit the person like that. but in that situation you have to 100% be able to stop them and you arent going to risk your life to "be humane" to some guy who is going to kill you. i hate when people who have never had to face anything remotely threatening in their lives are trying to be armchair policemen and tell them how it should be done.

havent updated in a while....

well all i have to update is the fact that i found out today is that things are going well with the RCMP application...going well for now anyways. i found out that the application group that im in started out with 250 people, and right now they are down to 5...and im one of those last 5 yet. i hope things go well...and if they do then it will be off to regina for me sometime soon.
